Towards Becoming A Nursing Assistant
Research
The first step would be to research our school's program offerings and requirements to make sure it aligns with your goals, interests, and needs. You can visit our school's website, speak with admissions counselors or attend an information session to learn more about our program.
Applying
Once you have decided that our program is a good fit you will need to complete an application and submit any required documents.
Coursework
After acceptance into the program you will complete 120 hours of training which includes 62 hours of theory lecture, 18 hours of lab training, and 40 hours of clinical training.
State Examination and Licensure
Once you have passed our BNATP you will be eligible to sit for the state licensing to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. You have 12 months from the program completion date in order to pass the Illinois Nurse Assistant/Aide Competency Exam. If you fail the exam three times, you must retake a BNATP training program.
